COMPARISON BETWEEN LETROZOLE ALONE VERSUS LETROZOLE-GONADOTROPHINS COMBINATION IN VERSUS CLOMIPHENE CITRATE – GONADOTROPHINS COMBINATION IN OVARIAN INDUCTION FOR PCOS PATIENT UNDERGOING INTRAUTERINE INSEMINATION

Background: Ovulatory dysfunction is a common cause of infertility and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) the main reason this dysfunction. PCOS most endocrinopathy in women childbearing age. A combination ovarian stimulation or superovulation with intrauterine insemination (IUI) remains an important option available to specialist widely used treatment modality for broad range indications. Objective: To compare between Letrozole-Gonadotrophins Clomiphene Citrate – Gonadotrophins induction Patient undergoing Intrauterine Insemination. Patients methods: prospective chohort study was conducted International Islamic Center Population Study Research, Al-Azhar University including 300 infertile who already diagnosed as by Rotterdam 2003 Criteria. Women had been divided randomly into three equal groups: Group (A) were given clomiphene citrate 100 mg daily starting on day 3 till 7 cycle plus gonadotrophins (75 IU) once from 6th growing follicle reach 18 mm, (B) letrozole (5mg/ day) 75 IU mm (C) cycle. Results: Women’s ovulation rate 78% while 80% 68% group (C). There statistically significant differences groups. pregnancy 8% 7% 4%. no showed more multiple follicles, OHSS then B C. cancellation than B. less follicles C better endometrial thickness. Letrozole alone monofollicular growth, pregnancy, coast. Than but Conclusion: We can offer if first lines (lifestyle changes, pharmacotherapy (metformin, citrate, letrozole, gonadotrophins) failed.
